This week, AquaTapa O\u00dc, managed by Capital Mill, and AS Merko Ehitus Eesti signed a construction contract to begin the design phase for the new sports and leisure center in the town of Tapa.<\/p>\n
The total land area of the center is 18,676 m\u00b2, located at Spordi St 8. Construction is to begin in May 2026 and is expected to last approximately 14 months.<\/p>\n
According to Marek Hergauk<\/strong>, Head of the General Construction Division at Merko Ehitus Eesti, preliminary work has been completed in conjunction with the client to initiate the design process.<\/p>\n \u201cDuring the next design phase, we will specify the technical solutions and details of the sports and leisure center to the extent necessary before construction begins. We understand the long-standing anticipation of residents, as well as the military units and allied forces stationed in Tapa, for a swimming pool. The architectural concept emphasizes closeness to nature and community spirit, offering a modern, energy-efficient, and functional environment that is suitable for training, relaxation, and social gatherings.
