Amserv and Ott Tänak open the largest Toyota dealership in the nordics

Today, Amserv officially opened the largest Toyota dealership in the Nordic region at Tuleviku tee 14 in Peetri, Estonia. The new 12,500-square-metre facility marks the end of an era spanning nearly 35 years, during which Amserv operated from its dealership on Pärnu Road in Tallinn’s Järve district. The new centre brings Toyota sales, servicing and aftersales operations together under one roof in a modern, state-of-the-art facility.

“This is undoubtedly the largest Toyota dealership in the Nordic countries and, very likely, one of the largest automotive dealerships in Northern Europe. The new centre enables us to provide an even higher level of customer service while offering our employees a modern, safe and environmentally friendly working environment. At the same time, the dealership fully complies with Toyota’s international customer service standards,” said Rene Varek, CEO of Amserv.

Tanel Samuel, Partner at Capital Mill, the developer of the project, described the development as one of the most significant commercial real estate projects in Estonia’s automotive sector in recent years.

“Our goal was to create a dealership that is representative, highly functional and future-ready, supporting Amserv’s growth for decades to come. We are also delighted that Ott Tänak became the owner of the property, adding a strong symbolic dimension to the project and making today’s opening a truly special occasion,” said Samuel.

According to Ott Tänak, owner of the building, the opening of the largest Toyota centre in the Nordics is an important milestone for Amserv, Toyota and the region’s automotive market.

“A project of this scale requires the dedication of many people, and I am pleased to see that a shared vision has become reality. The hard work has now been completed, but this is where the building truly begins its life—with customers, employees and the thousands of Toyotas that will pass through these doors in the years ahead. I wish the entire Amserv team every success for the future,” said Tänak.

Marek Maide, CEO of Toyota Baltic, said the new Amserv Tallinn dealership reflects Toyota’s core values and reinforces the strength of a successful partnership spanning nearly 35 years.

“For Toyota, Kaizen means continuous improvement and the ambition to become better every day. The new dealership is a clear expression of this philosophy, combining quality, reliability and a commitment to delivering the best possible Toyota experience to our customers,” said Maide.

The new facility was blessed by Urmas Viilma, Archbishop of the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church. Speakers at the opening ceremony included Rene Varek, CEO of Amserv Group; Kuldar Leis, Estonia’s Minister of Infrastructure; Koichiro Nakamura, Ambassador of Japan to Estonia; Tanel Samuel, Partner at Capital Mill; Ott Tänak, owner of the building; Kaido Somelar, Chairman of the Management Board of Tallinna Ehitustrust; Marek Maide, CEO of Toyota Baltic; Mohamed Senhaji, Chief Performance Officer at Toyota Motor Europe; and Gerli Lehe, Mayor of Rae Municipality.

The highlight of the opening ceremony was the ceremonial handover of the first new Toyota to its owner. The vehicle was dramatically presented to the audience by being lowered from a height of nearly 40 metres by crane. The celebration also featured a specially created musical performance by the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and Estonian Voices, complemented by sound and light effects produced by Toyota vehicles.

Throughout the opening week, visitors will also have the opportunity to explore a rare Toyota exhibition. On display are Ott Tänak’s 2019 Toyota Yaris WRC—the car that secured his FIA World Rally Championship title—this season’s Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 competition car, Tänak’s World Championship trophy, and several historic Toyota models. Visitors can also discover Toyota’s latest model range and take advantage of special offers available throughout the opening month.

The new Amserv Tallinn centre brings together the sales of new Toyota passenger cars and Toyota Professional commercial vehicles, a used car showroom, a comprehensive service and repair centre, spare parts and tyre warehouses, car wash facilities, and a vehicle inspection station. Built in accordance with Toyota’s latest international standards, the centre is designed to serve customers from across Estonia.
